The idea of the project was strictly utilitarian. We moved into new house and I’ve realized huge aftersound effect on our staircase.

The easiest way to reduce it, was to create some soft sound-absorbing surface on the wall.

It was very complex and multistage creation process. It took me about 5 months to finalize. The size of the quilt (0,8x2m) caused that it was hard to do anything with the project on the fly.

It’s not exactly the quilt nor patchwork. It’s more painting made with fabric.
